TL;DR: A transport acknowledgment framework which points to the simplicity of voyaging and development of visually impaired individuals with the guide of sensor organize is depicted to obtain an easy navigation system for blind people.
Abstract: This paper depicts a transport acknowledgment framework which points to the simplicity of voyaging and development of visually impaired individuals with the guide of sensor organize. For them to travel from one place to another place is a difficult task, so they need the special requirement to travel. The blind person gives the input about his destination using android app. The latitude and longitude of the present location of the blind person will be noted in the microcontroller of a blind unit with the help of GPS antenna. The stored information in the microcontroller of the blind unit is transmitted to bus unit through Zigbee system. Sign made in the transport that visually impaired individuals display in the station. Voice model and APR 9600 audio playback systems are used to update and inform the blind person about the bus arriving and reaching destinations. Audio output is generated by the voice synthesizer. The expected outcome of the project is to obtain an easy navigation system for blind people

TL;DR: In this article, a model footings of different sizes, viz., 10, 20, and 30 mm were tested with sand admixed with sisal fibers, and it was found that sand mixed with 2% sisal fiber had a larger bearing capacity compared with all other combinations of sand with other percentages of Sisal fibers.
Abstract: Improvement of the ground is an important challenge before geotechnical Engineers world over and the concept of reinforcing the soil using plant fibers has been used to improve the strength of the ground since ancient times. Plant fibers are lignocellulose in nature. Among these lignocellulose fibers, sisal fibers have the potential to replace synthetic fibers in various applications. In the present study model footings of different sizes, viz., 10, 20, and 30 mm were tested with sand admixed with sisal fibers. The Sisal fiber was cut in to have an average length of 10 to 20 mm and admixed randomly in sand with different percentages of 0, 0.5, 1, 2, and 3%. Model footing tests were performed by static loading of the footings in the model tank of size 260 mm length 260 mm breadth 350 mm height which was filled with sand and sisal fiber-reinforced sand. The sand was filled using the sand raining technique to achieve 75% relative density. From the test results, it was found that sand mixed with 2% sisal fiber had a larger bearing capacity compared with all other combinations of sand admixed with other percentages of sisal fibers.

TL;DR: The architecture for simultaneous accessing of consecutive frames is presented, which is then used for the implementation of various Video Shot Detection algorithms and the real time implementation of three video shot detection algorithms using the above mentioned architecture on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays).
Abstract: Video has become an interactive medium of communication in everyday life. The sheer volume of video makes it extremely difficult to browse through and find the required data. Hence extraction of key frames from the video which represents the abstract of the entire video becomes necessary. The aim of the video shot detection is to find the position of the shot boundaries, so that key frames can be selected from each shot for subsequent processing such as video summarization, indexing etc. For most of the surveillance applications like video summery, face recognition etc., the hardware (real time) implementation of these algorithms becomes necessary. Here in this paper we present the architecture for simultaneous accessing of consecutive frames, which are then used for the implementation of various Video Shot Detection algorithms. We also present the real time implementation of three video shot detection algorithms using the above mentioned architecture on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays).

TL;DR: The study is a conceptual effort which sheds light on the impact of 4th industrial revolution over the various functions of the Human Resource Management.
Abstract: Industries are the key contributors to the development of an economy. The technological progression and transition have changed the performance of these industries significantly. The fourth industrial revolution in the area of Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), the Internet of Things (IoT), Machine learning (ML), autonomous agents and things (Robotics), Cloud computing, Cognitive computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI), has impacted significantly over the organizational functioning. The influence of industrial 4.0 has been observed in almost all the functional areas of businesses including the human resource management function. In the era of 4.0, human resource department has seen the digital transformation on various Human Resource (HR) functions like recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, Performance management, social sharing and compensation and benefits. Technological transcends in the area of HR has made a tremendous transformation in managing the organization workforce. The study is a conceptual effort which sheds light on the impact of 4th industrial revolution over the various functions of the Human Resource Management.

TL;DR: In this article, a failure of a HSS counter punch tool used in cold forging is reported from an industry, as cold-fading is a part of forming processes, and the problem has been entrusted to investigate the cause of failure taking into account the selection of input parameters considered during cold forging and also the steps involved in the tool making.
Abstract: The manufacturing processes such as shaping, forming, cutting, heat treatment and joining processes are being adopted in engineering applications, and various types of tools are necessarily being deployed during these operations to produce components. In this context, the failure of HSS counter punch tool used in cold forging is reported from an industry, as cold forging is a part of forming processes. The problem has been entrusted to investigate the cause of failure taking into account the selection of input parameters considered during cold forging and also the steps involved in the tool making. The material M35 HSS tool had developed a long crack along the periphery passing through the central axis of the counter punch tool. The mechanical and metallurgical investigations were done involving hardness, microstructure, retained austenite measurement, fractography as well as the non-destructive tests, viz., visual inspection, dye penetrant test and ultrasonic detection as a part of this study. The investigation revealed fatigue-induced damage due to the application of one-time load during forging caused by the microstructural changes observed during the post processes. The root cause of failure of the tool is established based on the analysis and interpretation of the experimental data. Further, the reason of failure is communicated to the industry along with the possible solutions from the point of avoiding failure occurrence in future.
