TL;DR: In this paper, it was suggested that the geomagnetic field is primarily due to rearrangement of pre-existing lines of force emanating from the core, and not due to the creation of new (or destruction of old) flux tubes by electromagnetic diffusion.
Abstract: It is noted that the time-scale of the secular variation of the geomagnetic field is rather short compared with the electromagnetic diffusion times appropriate to the earth's core. It is therefore suggested that the secular variation is primarily due to the rearrangement of pre-existing lines of force emanating from the core, and not due to the creation of new (or destruction of old) flux tubes by electromagnetic diffusion. The theoretical consequences of this idea are fully examined.

TL;DR: The authors argued that professions are viewed as uniquely ethical occupations; on the other hand, they are not inherently inherently ethical, and that they can be viewed as inherently corrupting and unprofitable.
Abstract: Commentaries on `the professions' have long reflected a tension between two, apparently conflicting, perspectives. On the one hand, professions are viewed as uniquely ethical occupations; on the ot...

TL;DR: In this article, a study of capacitance measurements of porous alumina films in acidic chloride and sulphate solution has shown that the dissolution mechanism can be described using zero-order kinetics.

TL;DR: In this paper, the far infrared absorption spectra of the Group Vb trihalides AsI3, SbI3 and BiBr3 were examined in the region 500-50 cm−1 using both grating spectrometers and a Michelson far infrared interferometric spectrometer.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors have shown that the extent of rotation of the glycol fragment about the terephthalate framework in the PET crystal appears to be greater than in the above model.
