TL;DR: A pragmatic sensitivity analysis for an assessment of financial feasibility for any PPP project, as affected by toll structure, traffic, inflation rate, debt-equity, interest rate on debt, concession period, maintenance and operation costs and government grants is presented in this paper.
Abstract: Public Private Partnership (PPP) is one of the significant ways of financing infrastructure development in countries. Financial feasibility is a prerequisite for any financial assistance. Financial feasibility is required for an assessment of financial viability and profitability. The major risk associated with PPP Projects are debt repayment risks and revenue risks. The author presents a pragmatic sensitivity analysis for an assessment of financial feasibility for any PPP project, as affected by toll structure, traffic, inflation rate, debt-equity, interest rate on debt, concession period, maintenance and operation costs and government grants. This approach considers the cost of construction, maintenance and operation to run a sensitivity analysis for financial risk assessment. Financial viability factors have been considered for developing a risk profile, which in turn gives a detailed result. A realistic case study of Thane-Borivali highway tunnel project has been considered for showing the approach more precisely.

TL;DR: A predictive analytics using local substation voltage and current phasors for blocking distance relay during power swing and can evaluate the time to encroachment as well as time to Out of Step condition is proposed.
Abstract: Distance relays are vulnerable to trip on power swing This unwanted tripping, sometimes, initiates uncontrolled system separation due to cascade tripping of transmission lines This may even result in a catastrophic failure of the grid Hence, distance relays must be temporarily blocked from the operation during a power swing In this paper, we propose a predictive analytics using local substation voltage and current phasors for blocking distance relay during power swing Unlike existing schemes, it can evaluate the time to encroachment as well as time to Out of Step condition This scheme is setting free and independent of network parameters It does not require any transient stability studies It can even unblock the relay on a fault during power swing using extended Hodrick-Prescott (H-P) filter Thus, it is a comprehensive scheme which provides blocking as well as unblocking to a distance relay

TL;DR: NAHP automates the decision making process by justifying ‘ why to select one technology?’ and ‘Why to eliminate one technology’ which helps in benefiting the growth prospects of any organization.
Abstract: This paper provides a solution for ERP software selection & elimination. ERP is a way to integrate data and processes of an organization into a centralized system that aims to have a single software solution where the information needed for decision making is shared across different departments. The selection or elimination of technology is a multi-criteria, multi-attribute, decision making problem, which involves bath tangible and intangible factors that can be solved by Neuro-Analytical Hierarchy Process (NAHP). NAHP, which is based on Neural Networks, is a completely new approach towards solving this problem. We make a pair wise comparison of software (ERP) which helps in determining its relative ability to reach the decision goal. Thus NAHP automates the decision making process by justifying ‘Why to select one technology?’ and ‘Why to eliminate one technology?’ which helps in benefiting the growth prospects of any organization.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors designed an Earth Air Heat Exchanger (EAHE) system for a classroom in a hot and dry climate of Nagpur City, India. Heat exchanger calculations were made based on the NTU method, air flow rates were referred from ASHRAE ventilation standard and a piping layout was created so as to use the designed system for commercial purposes.
Abstract: Earth Air Heat Exchanger (EAHE) system is a Passive Cooling technique which uses earth’s potential to maintain a constant temperature throughout the year at certain depths as a source or sink to cool air during summer and vice versa in winter for space air-conditioning application. EAHE systems are best suited in hot and dry climatic conditions because EAHE systems in humid areas face challenges of condensation of water and contamination by microorganisms. Commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems are now established everywhere because there are standard methods for their calculations and manpower for installation. EAHE systems, being in their early stages lack such standards, installations guidelines and hence have less commercialization. One such effort has been made in this paper to design an EAHE system for a classroom in a hot and dry climate of Nagpur City, India. Heat exchanger calculations were made based on the NTU method, air flow rates were referred from ASHRAE ventilation standard and a piping layout is created so as to use the designed system for commercial purposes.
