18 Jul 2014TL;DR: In this paper, a method of providing a power supply of an amplifier of a wireless transmission system comprising of determining the power at an antenna when transmitting a signal to be transmitted by the amplifier, determining the modulation scheme for transmitting the signal, and adjusting a parameter of the power supply based on the determining steps to maintain amplifier linearity is presented.
Abstract: A method of providing a power supply of an amplifier of a wireless transmission system comprising, determining the power at an antenna when transmitting a signal to be transmitted by the amplifier, determining the modulation scheme for transmitting the signal, determining the frequency allocation of the signal to be transmitted, determining a transmit channel characteristic, and adjusting a parameter of the power supply of the amplifier based on the determining steps to maintain amplifier linearity.

14 Oct 2011TL;DR: In this paper, a channel estimating method for a signal transmitted in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, where an OFDM symbol of the signal has at least one null subcarrier set in its defined bandwidth, is provided.
Abstract: A channel estimating method is provided for a signal transmitted in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system, wherein an OFDM symbol of the signal has at least one null subcarrier set in its defined bandwidth. The method includes: obtaining at least one initial channel estimate over at least one OFDM symbol of a received signal; processing the at least one initial channel estimate for delivering at least one soft information in a form of a complete matrix; and updating the at least one initial channel estimate by performing a truncated singular value decomposition of a partial FFT matrix. The partial FFT matrix includes only the first L DP columns and the rows N DP of an FFT matrix of the complete matrix, the N DP rows corresponding to modulated subcarriers of received signal, including data and pilot symbols and excluding the at least one null subcarrier, delivering an improved channel estimate.

23 Nov 2011TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a network of interconnected hybrid elements, where each hybrid element is connected to at least one input and or output of at least a hybrid element of the network of hybrid elements.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device which comprises a plurality of input ports for accepting corresponding input RF signals corresponding to a plurality of transmitting antenna elements and a plurality of output ports for generating coherent output signals to a corresponding plurality of receiving antenna elements, whereby the output ports and the input ports are interconnected by a module comprising a network of interconnected hybrid elements. According to the invention, said module further comprises at least one attenuator being connected to at least one input and or output of at least one of hybrid element of said network of hybrid elements.
