TL;DR: In this article, a cloud detection algorithm for HJ-1B was proposed based on multispectral analysis in the satellite remote sensing data, taking it into account the different types of underlying surface.
Abstract: Cloud detection is absolutely necessary in the processing of satellite remote sensing data.Through analyzing spectral characteristics of cloud and typical objectives and integrating the channel characteristics of HJ-1B,a cloud detection algorithm for HJ-1B was proposed based on multispectral analysis in the paper.Taking it into account the different types of underlying surface,it gradually built a cloud detection mask by choosing suitable band combination. This method was applied to remove cloud pixels from many different images. The results showed that this approach could detect cloud pixels over different periods and different scenes successfully, which would promote the use of HJ-1B data and improve the precision of image classification.

TL;DR: The experience on the development of a prototype system based on three-dimension GIS is reported on and experiments show that the methodology is applicable and efficient.
Abstract: The rate of major accidents at sea tended to increase. Efficient utilization of dynamic information for massive ships in the maritime search and rescue shows more and more importance. The paper imports GIS to emergency data management and discusses many GIS technologies that can be used for maritime search and rescue. We report our experience on the development of a prototype system based on three-dimension GIS. Experiments show that our methodology is applicable and efficient.

TL;DR: A neural network model with genetic algorithm is developed to determine the angle of break and can overcome the disadvantages of the artificial neural works such as limitation of local optimization and slow convergence rate.
Abstract: The angle of break is a key factor that determines the mining damage extent of the surface in a mine, and it is also used to depict the characteristics of the mining subsidence basin. The geological and mining factors that influence the angle of break are fully analyzed. Based on the practical observational data from the ground movement monitoring stations of many mines in China, a neural network model with genetic algorithm is developed to determine the angle of break. The combination of genetic algorithm and neural network can overcome the disadvantages of the artificial neural works such as limitation of local optimization and slow convergence rate. The validity and reliability of neural network method combined with genetic algorithm to determinate the angle of break are verified by the existing engineering instances.

TL;DR: A simulate analysis of DOP and the visible satellites of the constellation have been made through STK and mathematica and it is clear that the ‘3GEO+3IGSO’ constellation has a high level of usability.
Abstract: Beidou Satellite Navigation System, which is run by our country herself, has already launched 9 satellites. With 3 GEOs and 3 IGSOs,a ‘3+3’ constellation has been formed in the Asia Pacific region. The research on the system ability has a profound impact on the further construction and improvement of the Beidou Satellite Navigation System. In this paper,a simulate analysis of DOP and the visible satellites of the constellation have been made through STK and mathematica. As is shown from the simulate analysis,in the ‘3GEO+3IGSO’ constellation serice area, the visibility is good and the positioning is quite accurate, which make it clear that the ‘3GEO+3IGSO’ constellation has a high level of usability.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the dynamic changes of ecological level and the ecological water requirement of natural vegetation for the mainstream of Tarim River from 1999 to 2004 in order to provide the decision basis of ecological restoration and ecological water use.
Abstract: 【Objective】 Based on the information technology of 3S and databases warehouse, the dynamic changes of ecological level are analyzed and the ecological water requirement(EWR) of natural vegetation is estimated for the mainstream of Tarim River from 1999 to 2004 in order to provide the decision basis of ecological restoration and ecological water use.【Method】 The gathered multi-dimensional and multi-temporal data are treated under the division of classification system, the interpretation and extraction of RS information, the building of massive database and the analysis in a qualitative and quantitative way.Using the principles of phreatic evaporation, the EWR of natural vegetation sensible to the current ecological level is calculated.【Result】 The result shows that with the implementation of the Emergent Water Transportation Project and basin governance engineering, the areas of natural vegetation tend to improve year by year, the abundance of advantage vegetation type is recovering, and the vegetation coverage response is clearly significant in the study area, especially in the grassland type of middle and lower reaches.【Conclusion】 This article emphasizes the coupling relationship between hydrological processes and ecological evolution, points out that EWR is a time-spatial variable and will change following the ecological level. The scientific target establishment of reasonable ecological level is very important for the allocation of water resources in the ecological water use.
