TL;DR: An improved memristor-based third-order Wien-bridge oscillator is constructed and the initial condition-dependent dynamical behaviour is revealed by theoretical analyses and numerical simulations and further verified by hardware experiments, from which the emergence of bi-stability in the memristive oscillators is well demonstrated.
Abstract: This paper reports the emergence of bi-stability in a third-order memristive Wien-bridge oscillator. By transforming the parallel RC feedback network into a series resistor and capacitor (RC) feedback network in the previous non-ideal voltage-controlled memristor emulator, an improved memristor emulator is proposed and its fingerprints are exhibited. And then through introducing the proposed emulator to replace the parallel resistor in the conventional Wien-bridge oscillator, an improved memristor-based third-order Wien-bridge oscillator is constructed. Based on its mathematical model, the initial condition-dependent dynamical behaviour is revealed by theoretical analyses and numerical simulations and further verified by hardware experiments, from which the emergence of bi-stability in the memristive oscillator is well demonstrated.

TL;DR: This paper considers a hybrid network among recent Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies to provide the IoT applications and performs heterogeneous wireless network scenario between the advanced IEEE 802.15.1 (BLE) and IEEE802.11ah (HaLow) based on Receive Signal Strength as threshold parameter for vertical handover.
Abstract: Internet of Things (IoT) can connect billions of devices and services at anytime, anyplace with diverse applications. Heterogeneous network provides Always Best Connected network between the various technologies. We consider a hybrid network among recent Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies to provide the IoT applications. Bluetooth low energy (BLE) works with the minimum amount of power and data rate, sufficient to handle the IoT applications. Wi-Fi Alliance also developed the IEEE 802.11ah which is specifically designed for IoT applications. In this paper, we performed heterogeneous wireless network scenario between the advanced IEEE 802.15.1 (BLE) and IEEE 802.11ah (HaLow) based on Receive Signal Strength as threshold parameter for vertical handover. The simulation results show the Bluetooth versions of Basic Rate, BLE, and Wi-Fi (HaLow) network with the data rate increment after the handover.

TL;DR: The proposed robust fractional-order controller for DC servomotor using internal model control and CRONE (Commande Robuste d'Ordre Non Entier) principle outperforms in terms of robustness and optimality when compared with controllers designed by integer-order technique.
Abstract: This paper proposes a robust fractional-order controller for DC servomotor using internal model control and CRONE (Commande Robuste d'Ordre Non Entier) principle. The controller acquires a PID (proportional-integral-derivative) form followed by a fractional-order integrator. Unlike the conventional fractional-order PID controller which demands five tuning parameters, the proposed scheme has only two tuning parameters which can be obtained on the basis of desired gain crossover frequency and phase margin. For speed control problem, the performance of the proposed controller is studied on hardware set up called precision modular servo system. The proposed controller outperforms in terms of robustness and optimality when compared with controllers designed by integer-order technique. Furthermore, the proposed scheme is applied for position control problem and validated on QUBE-Servo 2 set up.

TL;DR: This paper proposes a flexible beamforming (FBF) antenna architecture which can overcome the above challenges and demonstrates that the proposed FBF antenna architecture can achieve higher scalability and higher energy efficiency.
Abstract: Howpeoplewill communicatewith each other and access the physical systems will completely change with the arrival of the next generation mobile networks, which focus on unified connectivity of “things” over the “Internet” (IoT). While 5G wireless networks are known to have better “spectrum availability, ubiquitous connectivity, overall throughput and energy efficiency”, they still need to be examined for their potential in providing flexibility and scalability. Mukesh Kumar Maheshwari, MamtaAgiwal, Navrati Saxena andAbhishekRoy in their paper entitled “Flexible Beamforming in 5G Wireless for Internet of Things” propose a flexible beamforming (FBF) antenna architecture which can overcome the above challenges. They validate the performance benefits of their proposed method using simulation experiments and real 5G testbed parameters. They demonstrate that the proposed FBF antenna architecture can achieve higher scalability and higher energy efficiency.
