TL;DR: In this paper, the frequency doubling effects of the dually doped KTP crystals have been measured by powder frequency doubling method and the results show that powder frequency-dupling effects of all dually-doped kTP crystals has increased comparing to pure KTP crystal.
Abstract: The frequency doubling effects of the dually doped KTP crystals have been measured by powder frequency doubling methodThe crystals, which have been grown in KTP K6 systems with the same concentration (1mol%) of Nb 5+ and the same concentration (3mol%) of rare earth ion Nd 3+ ,Yb 3+ or Tm 3+ respectively, are Nb∶Nd∶KTP crystal,Nb∶Yb∶KTP crystal and Nb∶Tm∶KTP crystalThe result shows that the powder frequency doubling effects of all the dually doped KTP crystals have increased comparing to pure KTP crystal

TL;DR: The measurement of principal refractive indices and the thermal refractive index coefficients of yttrium vanadate (YVO4) are reported in this paper. The authors also used a self-collimating method for the wavelenths of 488nm, 6328nm, 10795nm and 13414nm in the temperature range of 20-140℃.
Abstract: The measurement of principal refractive indices and the thermal refractive index coefficients of yttrium vanadate(YVO4)are reported in this paperThe principal refractive indices of the crystal have been measured by selfcollimating method for the wavelenths of 488nm,6328nm,10795nm and 13414nm in the temperature range of 20-140℃The thermal refactive index coefficients have been obtained at these wavelenths and the constants of modified Sellmeier’s equation are also obtained in the measured temperature rangeThe value of birefringence (Δn) of 1064nm is calculated by Sellmeier’s equationThe calculated value agrees fairly well with the value published in the paper

TL;DR: In this paper, the X-ray diffraction spectra show that highly c-axis preferred wurtzite AlN films can be obtained at substrate temperature above 180 ℃.
Abstract: AlN thin films were grown on various substrates using reactive magnetron sputtering deposition with various nitrogen concentration, various sputtering pressure and substrate temperatures from 20 ℃ to 370 ℃.The X-ray diffraction spectra show that highly c-axis preferred wurtzite AlN films deposited on various substrates can be obtained at substrate temperature above 180 ℃.The crystallizability of AlN is improved as substrate temperature and sputtering time increasing. The optimal growth condition is the substrate of Si(100),pure nitrogen with sputtering pressure of 1.5 Pa.Optical band gap ( Eg =6.1 eV),refractive indexes (1.80-1.85) and thickness (about 1 μm) of the film can be calculated and obtained by using the ultraviolet-visible optical transmission spectrum of the film deposited on quartz. The atomic force microscope images showed that the surfaces of the films deposited on Si(100) at different temperatures are smooth and the root mean square(RMS) roughness was between 2.2-13.2 nm.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of Fe/Ba molar ratios, reaction time and calcination temperature on microstructure and magnetic properties of hexagonal barium ferrite powders were investigated.
Abstract: Hexagonal barium ferrite powders were prepared by microwave hydrothermal method using Fe(NO3)2·9H2O and Ba(NO3)2 as precursors,NaOH as mineralizer. The powders were characterized by XRD,SEM,DSC/TG,FT-IR spectra and VSM.The effect of Fe/Ba molar ratios, reaction time and calcination temperature on microstructure and magnetic properties of samples were investigated. The results showed that pure hexagonal barium ferrite powders were synthesized at 200 ℃ for 60 min and calcinated at 820 ℃ when Ba/Fe ratio was 1:8,pH was 13.For the as synthesized sample, the saturation magnetization(σs) was 71.9emu/g,remanent magnetization(σr) was 43.8 emu/g,and coercive force(Hc) was 4145 Oe.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of vacuum degassing time, initiator, monomer, crosslinker/monomer, gelation temperature and solid content on gelation process of low-toxicity DMAA monomer as well as the properties of green bodies were studied.
Abstract: The effects of vacuum degassing time,initiator,monomer,crosslinker/monomer,gelation temperature and solid content on gelation process of low-toxicity DMAA monomer as well as the properties of green bodies were studied.Complex shape green bodies with smooth surface, without cracking and exfoliation were successfully prepared. When the amount of monomer is 15%,the crosslinker/monomer is 1∶50,the addition of initiator is 1% and the temperature is 60 ℃,the green bodies prepared by 52vol% slurry show a bending strength close to 30 MPa,which can be directly machined.Mercury porosimetry and SEM indicate that the green bodies have homogeneous microstructure, without aggregation and particle-clusters.In addition, ideal pore structure with low porosity(26%),small pore size(the most concentrative pore diameter is 36 nm),narrow and unimodal pore size distribution of green bodies are observed.
