TL;DR: In this article, the authors reviewed the luminance and emission characteristics of the PDP phosphor and suggested improvements of the phosphor for the practicality of the display panel for a plasma display panel.
Abstract: Excitation and emission characteristics were reviewed for phosphors which were reported, applied, or suggested for the plasma display panel (PDP). Correlation of luminescence characteristics to the host crystal structure and the activator of the phosphor was explained. Improvements of the PDP phosphor for the practicality were considered.

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of benzothiazole derivatives were synthesized and assayed in vivo to investigate their hypogly-cemic activity by streptozotocin-induced diebetic model in rat.
Abstract: A novel series of benzothiazole derivatives were synthesized and assayed in vivo to investigate their hypogly- cemic activity by streptozotocin-induced diebetic model in rat. These derivatives showed considerable biological efficacy when compared to glibenclamide, a potent and well known antidiabetic agent as a reference drug. All the compounds were effective, amongst them 3d showed more prominent activity at 100 mg/kg p.o. The experimental results are statistically sig- nificant at p<0.01 and p<0.05 level.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the heavy metal contents within a 2-year period in the soil and plants at the beginning of the vegetation period using Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES).
Abstract: Alzinc is a ursine situated in the Ghazaouet town western part of the republic of Algeria. The purpose of this study was to determine the degree of contamination which soil and plants are burdened with some heavy metals: Pb, Zn, Ni, Cu, Cd, Mn, Cr, Fe and As, then the accumulation of heavy metals in the soil and plant adjacent of area the alzinc ursine was detected and the interdependence of pollution among all three regions of the environment determined .This paper analyzes the heavy metal contents within a 2-years period in the soil and plants at the beginning of the vegetation period. The presence of Pb, Zn, Ni, Cu, Cd, Mn, Cr, Fe and As, in the samples were analyzed using Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES). Measurements of heavy metal contents were performed at three locations in soil and vegetative parts of three-plant types (plant alimentary) period during summer. The plant samples from the immediate environment of the dumpsite were highly contaminated with Zn, Cd and Mn. Three plants species: grape, artichoke and pepper, particularly, grape met some of the conditions to be classified as accumulators for Zn, Cu, Cd and Fe, consequently, she revealed a health risk for human and livestock due to the spread of the metal pollution from waste dumpsites to agricultural areas.

TL;DR: In this article, the complex dielectric spectra between 10 MHz to 20 GHz has been used for reflectometry of binary mixtures of ethylene glycol and dimethyl sul- foxide.
Abstract: Using time domain reflectometry, the complex dielectric spectra between 10 MHz to 20 GHz has been mea- sured in the whole composition range at 10, 20, 30 and 40 o C for the binary mixtures of ethylene glycol and dimethyl sul- foxide. For all the mixtures, only one dielectric loss peak was observed in this frequency range. The relaxation in these mixtures can be described by a single relaxation time using the Debye model. A systematic variation is observed in dielectric constant (e0) and relaxation time (τ). The excess permittivity (e E ), excess inverse relaxation time (1/τ) E , Kirkwood correlation factor (g) and thermodynamic parameters viz. enthalpy of activation (∆H) and Gibbs free energy of activation (∆G) have been determined, to confirm the formation of hydrogen bonded homogeneous and heterogeneous cooperative domains, the dynam- ics of solute - solute interaction and the hindrance to molecular rotation in the hydrogen bonded glass forming ethylene glycol - dimethyl sulphoxide system.
