14.00 Since the organizational theory is marked at its present stage by a complete lack of originality, the theorists limiting themselves to apprehend the facts of day-to-day life only in terms of their appearances, the Author intends to elaborate an organizational diagnosis based on functional requisites dependent on certain human values, or founded on ethical principles. To attain his objectives, he starts from an exercise of self-enlightenment, in which a three-stage analysis is fundamental: 1 st stage: the persons participating in an organization must be seen as self-determined beings, capable of taking part in the transformation of their world; 2 nd stage: administration, according to said self-determination criterion, must be defined as a making of crucial decisions, relatively to possible courses of action; 3 nd stage: strategic resources or instruments of self-determination must be provided, to function as supportive bases, in order to assure the feasibility of a liberating administration. As a final thought, it should be made clear that the Author does not at any time propose the establishment of methods of diagnosis that may become "owners of the truth". On the contrary, his concem is oriented towards the discovery of processes that allow people to pass from the state of "being" to a state of "being more" (a state of awareness - conscientizacao - as Paulo Freire put it). The author is entirely favourable to an activity encompasing action and reflexion, a constant and dynamic activity, exercised in terms of reality by the participants in the organization.
