TLDR
In this paper , the chemical composition of the methanolic extract of Ammi visnaga umbels (AVU) was evaluated by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (MS) and applied for corrosion inhibition of carbon steel (CS) in 1.0 mol/L HCl using chemical and electrochemical techniques along with scanning electron microscope (SEM) and theoretical calculations.

Pepper extract effectiveness as a natural inhibitor against corrosion of steel samples (SS) in 1 M hydrochloric acid; Theoretical (DFT calculation – MD simulation), thermodynamic, and electrochemical-surface studies

TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of the Pepper extract on the steel samples dissolution rate reduction in HCl media was investigated by using the polarization approach and EIS exam, and the results showed that around 92% efficiency with mixed protection activity was recorded after 6 h of sample exposure to the 800 ppm Pepper extract-included solution at ambient temperature.
