A Distributed Computer Testbed for Real-Time Control of Machinery

TLDR
A control application model and a dis- tributed computer testbed, developed for the purpose of distributed real-time control of machinery, and the impor- tance of considering the real- time cooperation constraints of control components within a control application is emphasized.
Abstract
This paper describes a control application model and a dis- tributed computer testbed, developed for the purpose of stu- dying distributed real-time control of machinery. Different control approaches are considered depending on the support provided by the distributed computer system. The impor- tance of considering the real-time cooperation constraints of control components, within a control application, is emphasized and communication subsystem properties needed to fupll them are proposed.

A scheduling approach for decentralized mobile robot control system

TL;DR: A scheduling algorithm which allows one to determine accurately the message interarrival time at each node is developed and an application on a multiplexed field bus, named the controller area network (CAN), is discussed.

Quality of control and real-time scheduling : allowing for time-variations in computer control systems

TL;DR: The majority of computers around us are embedded in products and dedicated to perform certain tasks, and the computers are often connected by commu systems, which control the control of a dynamic system.

Integrated Communication and Control Systems: Part I—Analysis

TL;DR: The delayed control system is represented by a finitedimensional, time-varying, discrete-time model which is less complex than the ex isting continuous-time models for time- varying delays; this approach allows for simpler schemes for analysis and simulation of ICCS.
