TLDR
An agame-theoretic solution to the optimization of the energy consumption in wireless transceivers is proposed by dynamically adapting the modulation level of the transmitter modulator and the error correction aptitude of the receiver decoder with respect to channel conditions subject to specified average bit-error-rate and throughput constraints.
Abstract
Adaptive transceivers can significantly reduce the energy consumption of a mobile, battery-powered node by capturing real-time changes in the communication channel. This paper proposes a game-theoretic solution to the optimization of the energy consumption in wireless transceivers. This is accomplished by dynamically adapting the modulation level of the transmitter modulator and the error correction aptitude of the receiver decoder with respect to channel conditions subject to specified average bit-error-rate and throughput constraints. Experimental results demonstrate energy savings of up to 15%.

Optimality conditions for the bilevel programming problem

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the linear bilevel programming problem is equivalent to maximizing a linear function over a feasible region comprised of connected faces and edges of the original polyhedral constraint set.

Symbol rate and modulation level-controlled adaptive modulation/TDMA/TDD system for high-bit-rate wireless data transmission

TL;DR: It is demonstrated by computer simulation and laboratory experiments that the proposed time-division multiple-access/time-division duplex system can achieve a higher average bit rate with higher transmission quality in comparison with the fixed-rate quaternary phase-shift keying system and modulation level-controlled adaptive modulation system in both flat Rayleigh and frequency-selective fading environments.
