A non-linear dynamic lumped-parameter model of a rectangular plate

TLDR

Nonlinear vibrations of a clamped rectangular plate with initial deflection and initial edge displacement— Part II: Experiment

TL;DR: Theoretical analyses for nonlinear vibrations of a clamped rectangular plate under a uniformly distributed periodic load, with the effect of both initial deflection and initial edge displacement taken into consideration, are presented in this paper.

Chebyshev series solution to non-linear boundary value problems in rectangular domain

TL;DR: A methodology based on Chebyshev polynomials approximation to analyze the non-linear boundary value problems in rectangular domain is developed in this article, where the von Karman equations governing the behavior of moderately large deformations of rectangular plates are expressed in displacement field.

A nonlinear SDOF model for blast response simulation of elastic thin rectangular plates

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the blast response of rectangular elastic thin plates that undergo large deflections, as well as bending stresses and membrane stresses for plates with immovable edges and with fully clamped or simply supported flexural edge conditions.

Application of Rayleigh-Ritz and Galerkin methods to non-linear vibration of plates

TL;DR: In this paper, the difference between the three variational equations of motion and the dynamic analogue of the von Karman equations governing the non-linear vibration of plates is considered in the context of the Rayleigh-Ritz and Galerkin methods.

Influence of Large Amplitudes on Flexural Vibrations of Elastic Plates

TL;DR: In this paper, approximate solutions for the nonlinear bending vibrations of thin plates are presented for the cases of rectangular and circular plates subjected to various boundary conditions, and the effects of large amplitudes on both the free and forced vibrations are clarified.
