TLDR
It is shown that neither technique is appropriate for assessing the interchangeability of measurement methods, and an alternative approach based on estimation of the mean and standard deviation of differences between measurements by the two methods is described.

Measuring agreement in method comparison studies

TL;DR: The 95% limits of agreement, estimated by mean difference 1.96 standard deviation of the differences, provide an interval within which 95% of differences between measurements by the two methods are expected to lie.

Statistical Methods For Assessing Measurement Error (Reliability) in Variables Relevant to Sports Medicine

TL;DR: It is recommended that sports clinicians and researchers should cite and interpret a number of statistical methods for assessing reliability and encourage the inclusion of the LOA method, especially the exploration of heteroscedasticity that is inherent in this analysis.

Statistical evaluation of agreement between two methods for measuring a quantitative variable.

TL;DR: It is suggested that two methods for measuring a quantitative variable can be judged interchangeable provided all of the following conditions are met: first the methods must not exhibit marked additive or nonadditive systematic bias; second the difference between the two mean readings is not "statistically significant"; third, the lower limit of the 95% confidence interval of the intraclass correlation is at least 0.75.
