A Practical SCR Model for Computer Aided Analysis of AC Resonant Charging Circuits

TLDR
Hu and Ki as mentioned in this paper modified the SPICE2 SCR model to better simulate the SCR turnoff transient while maintaining the practicality of using only data sheet specifications to determine model parameters.
Abstract
The SPICE2 SCR MODEL by C. Hu and W. Ki [1] is modified to better simulate the SCR turnoff transient while maintaining the practicality of using only data sheet specifications to determine model parameters. The modified SCR model is used to do SPICE2 simulation of ac resonant charging circuits for pulse power applications.

Simple SCR and TRIAC PSPICE computer models

TL;DR: In this article, an ideal voltage-controlled switch provided in PSPICE is used to develop simple computer models for silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCRs) and TRIACs, with additional parameters, most of the thyristor properties are modeled.

A study of single-phase to three-phase cycloconverters using PSPICE

TL;DR: A single-phase-to-three-phase cycloconverter system operating from a 50 Hz input has been simulated under various loading conditions using a PSPICE circuit simulator and it has been demonstrated that for low and medium L/R loads a simple constant firing angle sequence works well, whereas the cosine wave crossing method (CWCM) seems to be optimum for high L/ R loads.

Determination of thyristor reverse recovery current parameters

TL;DR: In this paper, the peak reverse recovery current and its decay time constant were determined from a set of recovered charge curves, and another set of reverse energy loss curves, usually given in the manufacturer's data sheet so that the curves may be fitted over a wide range of di/dt at zero current and peak forward thyristor current IF, just before its current reversal.

An SCR-GTO model designed for a basic level of model performance

TL;DR: The SCR-GTO model as mentioned in this paper combines a behavioral switch model and a physical diode model to avoid the convergence difficulties which can occur when regenerative thyristor models are used.
