Analysis on dispersion compensation with DCF based on Optisystem

TLDR
In this article, the most commonly used dispersion compensation fiber (DCF) technology is studied in fiber-optic dispersion and its effect on optical transmission system is analyzed.
Abstract
Fiber-optic dispersion and its effect on optical transmission system are analyzed The most commonly used dispersion compensation fiber (DCF) technology is studied in this article Three schemes (pre-compensation, post-compensation, mix-compensation of dispersion compensation) of dispersion compensation with DCF are proposed The simulation model of the WDM based on the Optisystem is presented according to the above principle The simulation results such as Q factor and BER are given and deeply analyzed It is found that mix- compensation performance is the best And the input fiber power is taken as 9–10dB, the corresponding BER performance is better

Optical communication transmission systems improvement based on chromatic and polarization Mode dispersion compensation simulation management

TL;DR: In this article, a proposed compensation simulation model to handle not only chromatic dispersion but also polarization mode dispersion (PMD) simultaneously is presented. And the model is designed to analyze and simulate dispersion compensation technique which is based on deploying both fiber Bragg grating and emulator together till 250 km long of optical fiber.

Limitations in 10 Gb/s WDM optical-fiber transmission when using a variety of fiber types to manage dispersion and nonlinearities

TL;DR: In this article, the system limitations of WDM transmission when using various types of optical fiber to manage dispersion and nonlinearities were analyzed, and it was shown that a system using dispersion-shifted fiber and conventional single-mode fiber exhibits the best performance, with the combination of dispersion, stimulated Raman scattering, and self-and cross-phase modulation as the dominant effects.
