Study of a design for a large infrared telescope, consisting of six independent optical systems shows that it is possible to control the optical path differences and phases such that aperture synthesis can be achieved. A thin compensating prism in each optical path can compensate simultaneously the path errors for all objects in the field of view of the telescope. Design parameters for a 5.6-m system are given.read more

Active optics: A new technology for the control of light
TL;DR: Active optical systems as mentioned in this paper are those in which real-time control over optical wavefronts is employed to optimize system perference in the presence of random distrurbances, such as interference.

Spectral multiplexing and coherent-state decomposition in Fourier ptychographic imaging
TL;DR: The state-multiplexed FP recovery routine can decompose the incoherent mixture of the FP acquisitions to recover a high-resolution sample image and may provide a solution for handling the partially coherent effect of light sources used in Fourier ptychographic imaging platforms.

Spectrum multiplexing and coherent-state decomposition in Fourier ptychographic imaging
TL;DR: In this article, a state-multiplexed Fourier ptychography (FP) was proposed for information multiplexing and coherent-state decomposition, where an array of light sources were used to illuminate the sample from different incident angles and acquire corresponding low-resolution images using a monochromatic camera.

Microlens array imaging system for photolithography
TL;DR: In this paper, flat panel displays were used to display compound eye and microlenses on a multi-aperture imaging system for flat panel display with a multiconnectronic camera.
