Assessment of the distribution, bioavailability and ecological risks of heavy metals in the lake water and surface sediments of the Caohai plateau wetland, China

TL;DR: The concentration factor revealed that Hg, Cd and Zn were present from moderate risk levels to considerable risk levels in this study and, based on the high pollution load index (PLI) values, the Caohai wetland can be considered polluted.

Water quality assessment of Lake Pandu Bodhan, Andhra Pradesh State, India

TL;DR: Some of the characteristics like Dissolved Oxygen, Biological Oxygen Demand, Nitrates, Phosphates and nutrient loading are contributing to eutrophication process in this lake and the lake seems to be eutrophic through out the year.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assessment of native plant species for phytoremediation of heavy metals growing in the vicinity of NTPC sites, Kahalgaon, India

TL;DR: Results suggest that various aquatic, some dominant terrestrial plants including fern species may be used in a synergistic way to remediate and restore the FA contaminated wastelands in Bihar, India.
