TL;DR: Three key strategies to overcome the challenge of cabotegravir’s long, variable drug “tail” are suggested: Comprehensive patient education and counseling about the drug tail, training and coaching PrEP care teams, including clinical and non-clinical staff, on communication around the tail, and adherence support strategies.

Optimizing the vaginal microbiome as a potential strategy to reduce heterosexual HIV transmission
TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated BV treatment strategies that can optimize the vaginal microbiome in the long term through colonization with H2O2-producing vaginal lactobacilli and assess whether vaginal microbiota optimization is able to reduce the risk of HIV transmission.
