TLDR
In this paper, the relationship between chemical structure of reactants and the kinetic parameters of the catalytic reaction (activation entropy and activation energy) was elucidated by these measurements, and the fractional surface coverage of the catalyst with chemisorbed oxygen and hydrogen abstraction from the organic compound appeared to control the rates of catalytic oxidation.

Oxidation of methane over supported precious metal catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the kinetics of methane oxidation over palladium and platinum catalysts supported on a number of metal oxides using a pulse-flow microreactor technique.

Diesel Oxidation Catalysts

TL;DR: The diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) has been part of diesel exhaust systems since regulations were introduced to limit the amount of harmful emissions released to the environment from diesel engines as discussed by the authors, while active hydrocarbon oxidation can also be used to generate exotherms required for downstream components.

Carbon-supported PdM (M = Au and Sn) nanocatalysts for the electrooxidation of ethanol in high pH media

TL;DR: In this article, carbon-supported Pd4Au- and Pd2.5Sn-alloyed nanoparticles were prepared by a chemical reduction method, and characterized by a wide array of experimental techniques including mass spectrometry, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction spectroscopy.

Catalytic oxidation of hydrocarbons on platinum

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of chemical structure of the hydrocarbon molecule on the catalytic process is discussed, and the conditions required for heterogeneous thermal ignition are studied. But the results of the analysis are limited.
