TLDR
In this paper, a theoretical study of the characteristics of a multipad plane hydrostatic thrust bearing was made taking into account the effect of rotational lubricant inertia, and design data for the load capacity, flow and stiffness and damping characteristics were obtained for practically useful radius and resistance ratios for capillary and orifice compensation.

Comparative study of the performance on a constant flow annular hydrostatic thrust bearing having multi-circular recess and sector recess

TL;DR: In this paper, a theoretical comparative study concerning performance of a constant flow hydrostatic thrust bearing having multi-circular recess and sector recess is described, which demonstrates that bearing recess shape has a great influence on the behavior of the bearing bearing.

Research on Temperature Field of Hydrostatic Thrust Bearing with Annular Cavity Multi-Pad

TL;DR: In this article, a simulation research concerning temperature field of a bearing having annular cavities multi-pad was described in order to solve the thermal deformation of the bearing with annular cavity multiple-pad in the heavy CNC equipment.

Optimal Design of Heavy Load Hydrostatic Center Rest

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the stress and deformation of the center rest of a center rest and showed that a characteristic will be improved by optimal design and the reliability of a hydrostatic center rest can be predicted through this method.

The dynamic characteristics of a hydrostatic thrust bearing

TL;DR: In this paper, the dynamic behavior of a hydrostatic thrust bearing is analyzed based on an equivalent spring-damper system, and the results indicate that the dynamic stiffness of a massless system is at all times greater than the static stiffness and that a considerable degree of damping is always present.

Characteristics of a hydrostatic thrust bearing

TL;DR: In this paper, the static and dynamic behavior of a hydrostatic thrust bearing has been fully analyzed starting from the Navier-Stokes equations for two-dimensional flow, and an expression has been derived giving the force exerted by the oil in terms of the variables, amplitude of vibration, thickness of oil film and frequency.

The effect of lubricant inertia in hydrostatic thrust-bearing lubrication

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of neglecting inertia on the load capacity of hydrostatic thrust-bearings of the lubricant inertia is examined for both liquid and gaseous lubricants.
