Quantifying the influence of environmental and water conservation attitudes on household end use water consumption
Rachelle McDonald Willis,Rodney Anthony Stewart,Kriengsak Panuwatwanich,Philip Williams,Anna L. Hollingsworth +4 more
TL;DR: Results indicated that residents with very positive environmental and water conservation attitudes consumed significantly less water in total and across the behaviourally influenced end uses of shower, clothes washer, irrigation and tap, than those with moderately positive attitudinal concern.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vulnerability of riparian ecosystems to elevated CO2 and climate change in arid and semiarid western North America.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors summarized expected changes in CO2, climate, hydrology, and water management in dryland western North America, and considered likely effects of those changes on riparian ecosystems, and identified critical knowledge gaps.
Journal ArticleDOI
Climate change and poverty in Africa

The impact of climate change in Africa
TL;DR: In this article, the authors argue that even if climate change by its nature may not necessarily lead to violent interstate conflicts, scarcity of water and food in Africa has already nurtured political tensions among nations, thus retarding efforts towards sustainable development.
Journal ArticleDOI
A critical review of impact of and adaptation to climate change in developed and developing economies
Pradosh K. Nath,Bhagirath Behera +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors systematically and critically review the existing literature on the impacts of climate change and choice of adaptations across countries and draw insights for suggesting a comprehensive policy framework particularly for developing countries in this regard.
