AE waveform characteristics of rock mass under uniaxial loading based on Hilbert-Huang transform

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) to decompose the acoustic emission waveform into multiple intrinsic mode function (IMF) components, with the energy mainly concentrated in the C1-C4 IMF components, where the C 1 component has the highest frequency and the largest amount of energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study on In Situ Stress Distribution Law of the Deep Mine: Taking Linyi Mining Area as an Example

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the relationship between mine in situ stress and mine geological structure, the impact of original rock stress on stope stability, and the effect of original coal stress on floor water inrushing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three-dimensional physical model experiment of mining-induced deformation and failure characteristics of roof and floor in deep underground coal seams

TL;DR: In this paper, an indoor large-scale 3D physical similarity model was developed to study the stress, deformation, and fracture field characteristics of the roof and floor strata due to mining.

Role of coal deformation energy in coal and gas outburst: A review

- 01 Jan 2023 -
TL;DR: In this paper , a spatiotemporal evolution model of the release of coal and gas outbursts was proposed, and a new energy release model was established to discuss the role of coal deformation energy in actual outburst.
Journal ArticleDOI

Risk assessment of dynamic disasters in deep coal mines based on multi-source, multi-parameter indexes, and engineering application

TL;DR: The results of the 6-month experiment showed that the risk assessment accuracy and reliability of the proposed evaluation models was 100% and 90% respectively, which indicates that the newly developed approach is reliable and can be recommended for applying in more coal mines to improve the process safety risk control.

Study on rock mechanics in deep mining engineering

TL;DR: In this article, a detailed study on the nonlinear mechanical characters of engineering rock mass in deep mining under complicated geology mechanical environments is presented, and it is pointed out that the mechanical system which is subordinated to engineering rockmass at depth, is the non-linear mechanical system, but not the linear mechanics system subordinated at shallow.

Instantaneous outbursts in underground coal mines: An overview and association with coal type

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the effect of stress, gas content and physico-mechanical properties of coal mines on the likelihood of an underground coal mine explosion, and found that bright, vitrinite-rich and dull coal bands with high inertodetrinite contents are more likely to experience an outburst.
Journal ArticleDOI

Management of outburst in underground coal mines

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors outline the phenomenon of outbursts of gas and coal in underground coal mines and provide general statistics of their occurrence and discuss various factors that influence this phenomenon such as geological conditions, physical properties of coal, gas content and gas pressure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Control and prevention of gas outbursts in coal mines, Riosa-Olloniego coalfield, Spain

TL;DR: In this article, two underground coal mines in the Riosa-Olloniego coalfield, in the Asturias Central Basin, Spain, were used for mine control and monitoring, and a gas-measurement-tube set has been designed for measuring gas pressure as well as its variation over time as a result of nearby workings.
