Journal ArticleDOI

The syndrome of supravalvular aortic stenosis, peripheral pulmonary stenosis, mental retardation and similar facial appearance.

TL;DR: It is suggested that defective formation of the aortic septum is responsible for the coexistence of peripheral stenosis in both great vessels and represents a new syndrome: supravalvular aorta stenosis, peripheral pulmonary stenotic, mental retardation, a certain facial appearance and complex dental malformations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Congenital stenosis of the pulmonary artery branches. a classification, with postmortem findings in two cases.

TL;DR: The diagnosis of isolated stenosis of the pulmonary artery branches is to be considered in a patient with evidence of right ventricular preponderance and an atypical, frequently distant, holosystolic, or less often, quasicontinuous murmur in the second intercostal spaces well transmitted to the lungs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Juxtaductal pulmonary artery coarctation: an underestimated cause of branch pulmonary artery stenosis in patients with pulmonary atresia or stenosis and a ventricular septal defect

TL;DR: It is concluded that juxtaductal pulmonary artery coarctations should be specifically looked for before and during any type of surgical intervention in patients with pulmonary atresia or stenosis and a ventricular septal defect or a complex intracardiac defect.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stenotic lesions of the pulmonary arteries. clinical and hemodynamic findings in 84 cases.

TL;DR: The clinical and hemodynamic data of 32 cases with unilateral pulmonary artery stenosis and 52 cases with bilateral pulmonary arteries stenosis are reported, which constitutes a relatively clearcut entity with characteristic auscultatory findings, pulmonary trunk pressure curves and angiocardiographic appearances.

Stenosis of a Branch of the Pulmonary Artery An Additional Cause of Continuous Murmurs over the Chest

TL;DR: Three patients have been demonstrated by cardiac catheterization to have stenosis of a main branch of the pulmonary artery, and two exhibited continuous ductus-like murmurs at the chest wall over the site of stenosis, proving that the murmur is due to the stenosis.
