Combustion of Ammonium Perchlorate monopropellant: Role of heat loss

TLDR
In this paper, the combustion characteristics of ammonium perchlorate (AP) monopropellant have been revisited and a new burn rate law for pure AP was obtained for conditions close to adiabatic, which completely changed the understanding of AP combustion and called for a new set of parameters to be developed to predict the results obtained with silica grease on the sides.

Pt-Al 2 O 3 composite aerogels via solution-freeze-drying-calcination technology for the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate

TL;DR: Pt-Al2O3 aerogels were successfully synthesized via solution-freeze-drying-calcination technology as discussed by the authors, which showed that the Pt nanoparticles with a size of about 25nm were uniformly attached on the surface of Al2O 3 aerogel, and the Al 2O3 aerosogel could effectively prevent the nanoparticles from aggregating.
