TLDR
In this paper, the shape of the correlation curves close to the resonance frequencies is shown to be a Lorentz curve and the equation describing their structure is obtained by summation of the perturbation theory series.
Abstract
Equations are derived for the correlation functions of a weakly turbulent plasma (both for decay and non-decay spectra). It is shown that the shape of the correlation curves close to the resonance frequencies is that of a Lorentz curve and the equation describing their structure is obtained by summation of the perturbation theory series. Estimates are given of the width of the correlation function of Langmuir pulsations.

The spectra and correlation functions for ion sound turbulence

V N Tsytovich
- 01 Jan 1971 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a theory for the spectra and correlation functions for ion sound turbulence is given, and it is shown that the correlation time can be short enough to affect appreciably the non-linear interactions.

Aspects of a renormalized weak plasma turbulence theory

TL;DR: A renormalized Vlasov turbulence theory, derived by neglecting a mode coupling term in the direct interaction approximation, is discussed in this article, which reduces correctly to weak turbulence theory; it predicts both diffusion and polarization effects of the turbulent medium on test particles.

On re-normalization in the theory of weak turbulence in plasmas

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compare the methods of re-normalization introduced by the Dupree-Weinstock theory of turbulence with those in the theories of Kadomtsev, Rudakov and Tsytovich.

Low frequency electrostatic waves in a turbulent plasma

M Dobrowolny
- 01 Sep 1972 -
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of an ion acoustic turbulence parallel to the magnetic lines of force on the dynamics of low frequency waves (frequencies below the ion cyclotron frequency) of the drift type was investigated.

Computer investigation of nonlinear dynamical problems of plasma theory.

TL;DR: In this article, computer studies of certain dynamical problems of plasma theory and that of collective acceleration of ions which reduce to the solution of nonlinear integro-differential equations are presented.

Energy exchange between high- and low-frequency oscillations in a plasma

TL;DR: In this article, the amplitude of these oscillations depends on the strength of the external field of frequency ων The high-frequency field is in turn modulated by the low frequency, and this produces combination frequencies (ω±ν) which are not equal; this may be related to the effectiveness of the interaction of various frequencies and to the direction of energy transfer.

Calculation of the spectra of stationary plasma turbulence

TL;DR: In this paper, the stationary spectrum of the plasma turbulence is found by means of a computer and the numerical results obtained are compared with analytical results obtained for an asymptotic region of wave numbers.
