Meta-analyses of the relationship between conformity to masculine norms and mental health-related outcomes.
TL;DR: The finding that conformity to the specific masculine norms of self-reliance, power over women, and playboy were unfavorably, robustly, and consistently related to mental health-related outcomes, whereas conformityto the masculine norm of primacy of work was not significantly related to any mental health -related outcome highlights the need for researchers to disaggregate the generic construct of conformity to masculine norms.

Measurement of masculinity ideologies: A (critical) review.
TL;DR: A review of measures of masculinity ideology can be found in this article, where a brief discussion of the two distinct conceptualizations of masculinity ideologies is provided, and a summary of the 16 measures that meet their selection criteria: have been used in empirical studies since 1995, were published in peer-reviewed psychology or gender related journals, contain full presentation of psychometric properties, are not study-specific modifications of earlier scales, and focus directly or indirectly on masculinity ideologies.
