Cyclic Triaxial Test to Measure Strain-Dependent Dynamic Properties—A Comprehensive Study

TL;DR: A review on dynamic properties of soil using cyclic triaxial test has been proposed in the present study as mentioned in this paper, where the locally available Solani river sand is collected from Roorkee region, tested in laboratory.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Dynamic Properties of Sand under Torsion: A Literature Review

M. A.F. Ahmad, +1 more
- 11 Jun 2023 -
TL;DR: In this article , a literature review and evaluation of the studies, correlations, soil models, and parameters affecting the dynamic behavior of dry sand under torsion is presented, and a comparison of these studies can be found in Table 1 .
Journal ArticleDOI

Nonlinear site response analysis by coupling scaled boundary finite element method and finite element method

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented 2D numerical linear and nonlinear site response analyses based on the scaled boundary finite element method (SBFEM) and compared their results with those of the DEEPSOIL software.

Effect of statisitcal variation in soil dynamic properties on local site response: the case of Lotung

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of a statistical variation in the initial stiffness profile, stiffness degradation and damping curves on ground response predictions was investigated by conducting Monte Carlo simulations. And the results of the statistical approach indicate that the effect on the site response is very sensitive to the seismic intensity of the input motion.

Effect of Soil Plasticity on Cyclic Response

TL;DR: In this article, a study on the influence of the plasticity index (PI) on the cyclic stress-strain parameters of saturated soils needed for site response evaluations and seismic microzonation is presented.

Moduli and Damping Factors for Dynamic Analyses of Cohesionless Soils

TL;DR: In this article, a simple relationship is proposed to relate the shear modulus of a cohesionless soil to a modulus stiffness coefficient, which is a soil property and depends on the characteristics of the soil, and the effective mean principal stress at any point in the soil.
