Parametric Study of One-Dimensional Seismic Site Response Analyses Based on Local Soil Condition of Jakarta

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of several parameters toward the characteristics of surface response spectra based on the local soil conditions of Jakarta using a one-dimensional (1-D) site response model with total stress approach was presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental Evaluation of Dynamic Characteristics of Firouzkooh Sand Using Cyclic Triaxial and Bender Element Tests

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of different factors, including specimen fabric, relative density, and consolidation anisotropy on the dynamic properties of Firouzkooh sand was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Laboratory Studies of Small Strain Stiffness and Modulus Degradation of Warsaw Mineral Cohesive Soils

TL;DR: In this paper, the stiffness characteristic of 15 different Warsaw cohesive soli represented by the parameters mentioned above was focused on the stiffness characteristics with high reliability, and combined empirical models for GMAX, and G/GMAX allow the evaluation of Warsaw cohesive soil's shear modulus value in a wide shear deformation range, with a very low value of the relative error of 6.8%.

Modélisation numérique de la propagation des ondes par une méthodeéléments finis Galerkin discontinue : prise en compte des rhéologies nonlinéaires des sols

Simon Chabot
TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of simulation numerique des mouvements forts du sol dus aux seismes is addressed, and a solution analytique concernant le cas nonlineaire elastoplastique is proposed.

Moduli and Damping Factors for Dynamic Analyses of Cohesionless Soils

TL;DR: In this article, a simple relationship is proposed to relate the shear modulus of a cohesionless soil to a modulus stiffness coefficient, which is a soil property and depends on the characteristics of the soil, and the effective mean principal stress at any point in the soil.
