Linear system theory of a heat conduction calorimeter: Part 1. Some properties of a linear system with zero initial conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, the transfer function of a linear time-invariant system described by a differential equation with constant coefficients is derived under some initial conditions, such as the values of the input and output signals are zero when time t < 0, but they are not necessarily zero when t approaches zero from the right, t → 0+.
Journal ArticleDOI

Theory of the heat conduction calorimeter

TL;DR: In this article, boundary value problems for a model of a heat conduction calorimeter consisting of three domains thermally connected, viz. the thermal reaction domain, the heat flow domain and the constant temperature surroundings domain, are derived and analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this article, an electronic inverse filtering system for conduction calorimetry is described: by connecting a second order low-pass filter to the compensating networks, one obtains a better signal without affecting the efficiency of the inverse filter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Linear system theory of a heat conduction calorimeter: Part 2. The inverse filter method in thermokinetics

TL;DR: In this article, the inverse filter method for obtaining unknown input variable x(t) from known output signal y(t), assuming an ordinary differential equation of the nth order of y(T) and mst order of x(T), is discussed (n > m), where the differential equation leads to the transfer function of a rational form in the Laplace transform parameter.

TL;DR: In this article, a numerical method of deconvolution of the recorded signal was applied in order to obtain the proper thermogenesis of the phenomenon, and the time constants of the calorimeter were determined from thermal effects due to the dropping into the bath of small quantities of silver and platinum.

TL;DR: In this paper, a methode de correction is proposed for correction des courbes calorimetriques deformees par l'inertie thermique du calormetre and, donc, for determination des thermo- cinetiques.

TL;DR: In this article, an injection apparatus attached to the two elements of a conduction microcalorimeter allows measurement of the thermal change arising from displacement of the equilibria in the liquid phase.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method is presented which calculates the thermogram by optimizing the parameters of a theoretical model, which introduces the characteristics of the apparatus by a convolution technique, and it is unnecessary to assume an analytical form of this function as in previous methods of analysis by deconvolution.
