Journal ArticleDOI
A stable heavier group 14 analogue of vinylidene
TL;DR: It is shown that by employing the bulky and strongly electron-donating boryl ligand (HCDippN)2B (Dipp, 2,6-iPr2C6H3), a simple monomeric digermavinylidene compound, (boryl)2GeGe, can be synthesized and is stable at room temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carbene Complexes of Nonmetals
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focus on oxonium and iodonium ylides and show that they can be viewed as carbene complexes if they regenerate carbenes thermally or undergo concerted methylene transfer reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metal-Free Conversion of Methane and Cycloalkanes to Amines and Amides by Employing a Borylnitrene
TL;DR: The selective transformation of methane into more reactive molecules, considered to be one of the “holy grails” of chemistry, lies at the heart of the understanding of chemical reactivity and has potentially far-reaching practical implications.
Journal ArticleDOI
On the Use of Quartic Force Fields in Variational Calculations
TL;DR: In this paper, the simple-internal or bond-length bond-angle (BLBA) coordinates can be transformed into Morse-cosine (-sine) coordinates which produce potential energy surfaces from QFFs that possess proper limiting behavior and can describe the vibrational (or rovibrational) energy levels of an arbitrary molecular system to 5 cm −1 or better compared to experiment.
