DYNAMIC VERSION OF THE ECONOMIC LOT SIZE MODEL*t

TLDR
In this paper, a forward algorithm for a solution to the following dynamic version of the economic lot size model is given: allowing the possibility of demands for a single item,,inventory holding charges, anid setup costs to vary over N periods, we desire a minimum total cost inventory management scheme which satisfies known demand in every period.
Abstract
A forward algorithm for a solution to the following dynamic version of the economic lot size model is given: allowing the possibility of demands for a single item,,inventory holding charges, anid setup costs to vary over N periods, we desire a minimum total cost inventory management scheme which satisfies known demand in every period. Disjoint planning horizons are shown to be possible which eliminate the necessity of having data for the full N periods.

Supply chain collaboration: making sense of the strategy continuum

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors classify collaboration initiatives using a conceptual water-tank analogy, and discuss their dynamic behavior and key characteristics, concluding that the effectiveness of supply chain collaboration relies upon two factors: the level to which it integrates internal and external operations, and the efforts are aligned to the supply chain settings in terms of the geographical dispersion, the demand pattern, and product characteristics.

Dynamic Programming

TL;DR: The more the authors study the information processing aspects of the mind, the more perplexed and impressed they become, and it will be a very long time before they understand these processes sufficiently to reproduce them.
