Increase of moisture content in Mogao Grottoes from artificial sources based on numerical simulations

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used numerical simulations to examine if and how much artificial sources increase the moisture in and around the Mogao Grottoes, including irrigation, sand control vegetation belts on the sand dunes, plus the green field in the tourist and administrative area.

The technical support of nanoart: anodization process

TL;DR: In this paper, the formation mechanism of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) by using the mild, hard and pulse anodization has been discussed, and many other measures have been taken in mild and hard anodisation to improve the regularity of pore array and greatly accelerate the formation rate of AAO.

Rainfall influence on the microclimate of caves and the risk assessment of mural deterioration in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, China

TL;DR: In order to prevent the further deterioration of murals, the influence of rainfall on the thermal and moisture environment of caves was analyzed through the environmental monitoring test as discussed by the authors , which showed that the temperature of the caves is basically unchanged, and the humidity changes in three stages of rising, maintaining and falling.
