TLDR
In this paper, the Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of six models of air purifiers with diesel and KCl particles, and measured noise during operation, was determined for total concentration and size-selectively for particles of 0.03-1μm.

Journal ArticleDOI

Improving indoor air quality, health and performance within environments where people live, travel, learn and work

TL;DR: The role of air purification technologies in key indoor micro-environments demonstrates that air filtration produces clear reductions in indoor pollution concentrations as discussed by the authors, however, this is not the case for all environments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of ventilation strategies and air purifiers on the children's exposure to airborne particles and gaseous pollutants in school gyms.

TL;DR: The study revealed that the use of air purifiers with windows kept closed (natural ventilation) can lead to a significant reduction in terms of indoor-to-outdoor concentration ratios, and for low ACH values, the reduction is quite negligible.

Graphene Oxide-Modified Polyacrylonitrile Nanofibrous Membranes for Efficient Air Filtration

TL;DR: The most common form of PM2.5, referred to as smaller than 2.5 μm, is the most common type of PM and is referred to by as mentioned in this paper.

Impact of the air pollution

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present important environment issues that can impact human health and life on Earth, and present important resources that can be used to improve human health, life, and well-being.

Chemical characterization of particulate emissions from diesel engines: A review

TL;DR: In this paper, the chemical properties of particulate matter (PM) in diesel vehicle exhaust at a time when emission regulations, diesel technology development, and particle characterization techniques are all undergoing rapid change are examined.

Dispersal in microbes: fungi in indoor air are dominated by outdoor air and show dispersal limitation at short distances

TL;DR: Results show that at the local level, outdoor air fungi dominate the patterning of indoor air, providing additional support for the growing evidence that dispersal limitation, even on small geographic scales, is a key process in structuring the often-observed distance–decay biogeographic pattern in microbial communities.

Signature size distributions for diesel and gasoline engine exhaust particulate matter

TL;DR: In this article, the size distributions of diesel exhaust particulate matter measured from a large number of vehicles and test engines, using a variety of diesel fuels, collapse onto a single characteristic lognormal distribution, when normalized by total particle number and plotted against a scaled diameter.
