Journal ArticleDOI

First-principles elastic and thermal properties of TiO2: a phonon approach

TL;DR: The heat capacity at room temperature and the Debye temperature within the LDA are in better agreement with the experimental results, and one can obtain the important mechanical and thermal properties of materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preferential orientation of fluorine-doped SnO2 thin films: The effects of growth temperature

TL;DR: In this article, the texture effects of spray pyrolysis on polycrystalline fluorine-doped SnO2 thin films with a given thickness of about 250nm have been investigated within a thermodynamic approach considering that grain growth is driven by the minimization of total free energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ab initio study of the elastic properties of single and polycrystal TiO(2), ZrO(2) and HfO(2) in the cotunnite structure.

TL;DR: It is found that C(11), C(22) and C(33) elastic constants of hafnia and zirconia show increased strength with respect to the experimental values of the normal phase, P 2(1)/c, and this fact increases the compound anisotropy as well as its ductile behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spin-wave lifetimes throughout the Brillouin zone.

TL;DR: A neutron spin-echo method with microelectron-volt resolution is used to determine the lifetimes of spin waves in the prototypical antiferromagnet MnF2 over the entire Brillouin zone, revealing an excellent, parameter-free description of the data, except at the lowest momenta and temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-temperature phase transition in the three-layered sodium cobaltite P ′ 3 -Na x CoO 2 ( x ∼ 0.62 )

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the high temperature phase transition in a three-layered three-layer Na-CoO mixture with the magic angle spinning (MAS)-NMR spectroscopy in the 300-550 K range.
