Electric field penetration and perturbation problems of a nonuniform cylindrical cavity with a slot

TLDR
In this article, a nonuniform conducting cylindrical cavity with a slot in a uniform electric field was analyzed in bipolar coordinates, and the electric field penetration through the slot and perturbation of an incomplete conducting cylinder were investigated.
Abstract
In bipolar coordinates, a nonuniform conducting cylindrical cavity with a slot in a uniform electric field E/sub 0/ is analyzed. The authors investigate the electric field penetration of a slotted cylindrical cavity through the slot and the electric field perturbation of an incomplete conducting cylinder. A family of objects are included by changing the structural parameters of the nonuniform cylindrical cavity with a slot. Both analytical expressions and numerical results of some special structures are given. >

RF interference effects on PIN photodiodes

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of light illumination and RFI on PIN diodes were studied experimentally for various light powers and it was shown that by operating a diode in a photovoltaic mode it is much more susceptible to RFI than by operating it in a photoconductive mode.

Modeling of electromagnetic interference induced by electrostatic discharge (ESD) inside resonant structures

TL;DR: In this paper, an accurate analysis of the effects produced by electrostatic discharge inside a metallic enclosure, representing the metallic shield of an apparatus, was presented, where the considered discharges are either directly generated inside the cavity or guided into the enclosure through a transmission line.

Effect of cylindrical fibers, with cross-sections formed by two circular arcs, on the overall conductivity of a composite

TL;DR: In this paper, an analytic solution for the steady-state temperature distribution in an infinite conductive medium, containing non-conductive fiber with the cross-section of irregular shape formed by two circles, and subjected to remotely applied uniform heat flux is obtained.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for the analysis of the electromagnetic field inside metallic enclosures with apertures is presented, which is based on a time domain hybrid approach method, characterised by the combination of the finite difference in time domain (FDTD) and the method of moments in time domains (MoMTD) that solves a magnetic field integral equation (MFIE).

Electromagnetic scattering of an arbitrary plane wave from a spherical shell with a circular aperture

TL;DR: In this paper, a generalized dual series approach was proposed to solve the problem of the scattering of an electromagnetic plane wave with arbitrary polarization and angle of incidence from a perfectly conducting spherical shell with a circular aperture.
