Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of the Ã(1A″) state of HCF by laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this paper, an extensive experimental exploration of the A(1A)←X (1A′) transition of supersonically cooled fluoromethylene has been performed using laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electronic spectroscopy and ab initio quantum chemical study of the Ã(1A″)−X̃(1A′) transition of CFBr

TL;DR: In this paper, the A(1A)−X (1A′) electronic transition of jet-cooled CFBr has been investigated by spectroscopic and ab initio theoretical methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

The photodissociation dynamics of CFBr excited into the Ã(1A″) state

TL;DR: In this paper, the dynamics of the photolysis reaction, CFBr+hν→CF+Br, have been investigated for photo-lysis energies in the range, ν=23,500,26,000,cm−1 (λ=385,435 nm).
Journal ArticleDOI

An ab initio investigation of fluorobromo carbene.

TL;DR: A detail ab initio study on CFBr using complete active space second-order perturbation (CASPT2) and multireference configuration interaction (MRCI) method and the first theoretical study on higher excited state with energy up to 7 eV is carried out.
Journal ArticleDOI

A reanalysis of the à A1″−X̃ A1′ transition of CFBr

TL;DR: Analysis of dispersed fluorescence spectra and the pattern of (79)Br/(81)Br isotope splittings indicate that the origin must be shifted from previous assignments in the literature to 23 271.0 cm (-1), implying that the A state is metastable, with a barrier to dissociation of approximately 1000 cm(-1).
