In this article, the authors used an applied thermoscience textbook for an undergraduate course on internal combustion engines, where students were assumed to have knowledge of fundamental thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics as a prerequisite to get maximum benefit from the text.
Abstract
This book was written to be used as an applied thermoscience textbook in a onesemester, college-level, undergraduate engineering course on internal combustion engines. It provides the material needed for a basic understanding of the operation of internal combustion engines. Students are assumed to have knowledge of fundamental thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics as a prerequisite to get maximum benefit from the text. This book can also be used for self-study and/or as a reference book in the field of engine

Improvement on fuel consumption by intake manifold design development of gasoline engine

TL;DR: From the result of the research, it has been proved that the possibility of fuel efficiency can be existed by changing the length of intake manifold in Ulaanbaatar's low average speed traffic conditions.

Modelling, simulation and optimisation of asymmetric rotor profiles in twin-screw superchargers

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a method to estimate the probability of a given set of parameters for a given problem with respect to a set of properties of a particular set of variables.

Downsizing Capability Evaluation of Active Control Turbocharger (ACT)

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the performance of an active control turbocharger (ACT) with variable geometry turbochargers (VGT) and a 10L diesel engine equipped with ACT.
