Ultrasonic-Assisted Acid Leaching of Indium from Blast Furnace Sludge

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of solid-liquid ratio, leaching temperature, and leaching time on extraction of indium from blast furnace sludge were investigated and three leaching methods of high temperature acid leaching (HL), ultrasonic acid leaches (UL), and high temperature-ultrasonic acid acid leach (HUL) were compared.

Crossover of Critical Exponents Induced by Dilution via Monte Carlo Simulations

TL;DR: In this paper, the crossover of dilution in the critical exponent associated with the thermodynamic properties in the magnetic materials via Monte Carlo simulations is observed, and the results of the magnetic susceptibility, specific heat and correlation length for the ZnCr2xAl2-2xS4, Cd1-yCr2- 2xIny+2xSe4 and Zn1-xMnxTe systems are comparable with those given by the experiment results.

Anisotropic Superexchange Interaction and Weak Ferromagnetism

TL;DR: In this paper, the Anderson theory of superexchange was extended to include spin-orbit coupling and the antisymmetric spin coupling suggested by Dzialoshinski from purely symmetry grounds and the symmetric pseudodipolar interaction were derived.
Journal ArticleDOI

A thermodynamic theory of “weak” ferromagnetism of antiferromagnetics

TL;DR: In this paper, a thermodynamic theory of weak ferromagnetism of α-Fe 2 O 3, MnCO 3 and CoCO 3 is developed on the basis of landau's theory of phase transitions of the second kind.

Exchange Interactions in Ferromagnetic Chromium Chalcogenide Spinels

TL;DR: In this article, the properties of transition-metal spinels with magnetic ions solely on the octahedral sites have been the subject of many investigations, and it was found that ferromagnetic interactions predominate.

Practical method for full curved-wave theory analysis of experimental extended x-ray-absorption fine structure

TL;DR: In this article, a modified backscattering amplitude and phase shift functions were obtained using the full curved-wave theory for single scattering, which can be used to analyze experimental data without any modification of those programs that presently use the functions of Teo and Lee.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phase diagrams of two dilute insulating systems with competing interactions: CdCr2xIn2-2xS4 and ZnCr2xAl2-2xS4

TL;DR: In this paper, the results for the ferromagnetic system were compared with theoretical predictions derived from a bond-diluted Ising model using the replica method and a second-order variational approximation.
