Filters using Bessel-type polynomials
TLDR
In this paper, a generalized Bessel filter and a generalized rational filter are considered and a number of special cases of Bessel-type filters are exploited to obtain a variety of filter responses.Abstract:
Bessel-type polynomials are defined and shown to be useful in constructing a variety of transfer functions in filter theory. A generalized Bessel filter and a generalized Bessel rational filter are considered and shown to include a number of special cases of Bessel-type filters. The greater flexibility of the generalized filters is exploited to obtain a variety of filter responses.read more

Model reduction of delay systems using Pade approximants
TL;DR: In this article, the rational approximation of a certain class of delay systems in the frequency domain using Pad£ approximants of exp(−sT) is described. And the exact error bounds for L∞ and L L2 error bounds are provided.

Convergence of a class of Padé approximations for delay systems
TL;DR: In this paper, the convergence of a class of rational approximations for delay systems of the form exp(sT) M(s) was studied and error bounds for the approximants were obtained which provided a priori estimates for the errors.

Some open problems of generalised Bessel polynomials
TL;DR: The solution of several open problems connected with the generalised Bessel polynomials, which appear in solving the wave equation in spherical coordinates and in network synthesis and design, is shown in this paper.

H2 approximation of multiple input/output delay systems
Liqian Zhang,Biao Huang +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, an H2 model reduction scheme is introduced for stable linear systems with multiple input/output delays, which can be a finite dimensional linear model, or a linear model with a time delay.

A new class of orthogonal polynomials: The Bessel polynomials
H. L. Krall,Orrin Frink +1 more
TL;DR: The Bessel polynomials as mentioned in this paper are a subclass of the classical orthogonal polynomorphisms of Jacobi, Laguerre, and Hermite, and they also have the property that their derivatives form orthogonality.

Synthesis of Constant-Time-Delay Ladder Networks Using Bessel Polynomials
TL;DR: A realizable, low-pass, minimum-phase transfer function is constructed which produces "maximally flat" time delay as a function of frequency, and which is associated with an impulse response that resembles closely a Gaussian curve properly delayed with respect to t= 0.
