A Primer on Energy Conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, a detailed analysis of the technical and conceptual character of all the standard conditions used in physics today, including examination of their consequences and the circumstances in which they are believed to be violated, is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Haloes of k-essence

TL;DR: In this article, gravitationally bound static and spherically symmetric configurations of k-essence fields have been studied, and it has been shown that these configurations can reproduce the properties of dark matter haloes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Continuity, curvature, and the general covariance of optimal transportation

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show the form of these conditions to be largely dictated by the covariance of the question; it expresses them via non-negativity of the sectional curvature of certain null-planes in a novel but natural pseudo-Riemannian geometry which the cost c induces on the product space M × M.
Journal ArticleDOI

Static BPS black hole in 4d higher-spin gauge theory

TL;DR: In this article, an exact spherically symmetric solution of 4d nonlinear bosonic higher-spin gauge theory was found, which preserves a quarter of supersymmetries of N = 2 supersymmetric 4d higher spin gauge theory.
Journal ArticleDOI

Global extensions of spacetimes describing asymptotic final states of black holes

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that if surface gravity is non-zero and constant throughout the horizon one can globally extend such a spacetime so that the image of is a proper subset of a regular bifurcate Killing horizon in the enlarged spacetime.
