Journal ArticleDOI

Conformal transformations with multiple scalar fields

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined under what conditions the gravitational and kinetic terms in the Lagrangian may be brought into canonical form when more than one scalar field has nonminimal coupling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deviations from the area law for supersymmetric black holes.

TL;DR: In this paper, the Bekenstein-Hawking area law for black hole entropy in the presence of higher-derivative interactions is reviewed in the context of supersymmetric theories.
Journal ArticleDOI

Black holes, hidden symmetries, and complete integrability

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss explicit and hidden symmetries of higher-dimensional Kerr-NUT-A-dS black hole spacetimes and demonstrate that the principal tensor can be used as a "seed object" which generates all these properties, such as special algebraic type of the spacetime, complete integrability of geodesic motion, and separability of the Hamilton-Jacobi, Klein-Gordon, and Dirac equations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Holographic renormalization of asymptotically flat spacetimes

TL;DR: In this article, a local algebraic function of the boundary metric and Ricci curvature is used to construct a variational principle for asymptotically flat spacetimes in any spacetime dimension d ≥ 4.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cosmology with inhomogeneous magnetic fields

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of magnetic fields on the expansion dynamics and the growth of density inhomogeneities in a spatially homogeneous and isotropic universe were investigated.
