The proposed intelligent lighting system can optimize energy uses with integrated sensors and controllers. The main control is designed using a various sensors which collects the relevant data for management and maintenance of the lamp. ZigBee and Global Systems for Mobile Communications (GSM) based wireless technologies are used for the wireless communication, also used LED based source of light which gives the additional energy saving. Information is communicated between monitoring station and lamp station by using ZigBee network.Whenever the lamp gets damaged Short Message Service (SMS) is sent by using GSM which makes easy maintenance of lamp. There are three modes of operation of system-day mode, peak mode and intelligent mode. The real time monitoring of lamp can be possible by using GUI at monitoring station which is also used to check power consumption of each lamp. Intelligent LED lighting system targets the energy saving and autonomous operation for the streets, bungalows and farms.read more
