TLDR
It is suggested that Δ9-THC changes the conformation of the hepatic microsomal membrane in a characteristic way, and there exists a qualitative difference between the two substrate-binding sites of the microSomal membrane regarding their interaction with a highly lipophilic drug like Δ9,000-tetrahydrocannabinol.

Cannabinoid-opioid interaction in chronic pain.

TL;DR: It is concluded that vaporized cannabis augments the analgesic effects of opioids without significantly altering plasma opioid levels, and may allow for opioid treatment at lower doses with fewer side effects.

Role of tobacco smoking in pharmacokinetics

TL;DR: The pervasiveness of tobacco use in the authors' society and the frequency of altered disposition and pharmacological effects of many common therapeutic and recreational drugs in smokers make it apparent that the smoking habit should be considered as one of the primary sources of drug interactions in man.

Effects of Cannabinoids on Reproduction and Development

TL;DR: The acute administration of marihuana by smoking usually leads to a decrease in circulating testosterone and luteinizing hormone levels, which explains in part the drop in plasma testosterone levels following cannabinoid intake.

Marihuana smoking increases plasma cocaine levels and subjective reports of euphoria in male volunteers

TL;DR: It is concluded that marihuana-induced vasodilation of the nasal mucosa attenuates the vasoconstrictive effects of cocaine and thus increases its absorption.

Chronic cannabinoid, CP-55,940, administration alters biotransformation in the rat

TL;DR: The present findings demonstrate that the behavioural tolerance occurs together with modified biotransformation activities in rats treated with chronic administration of CP-55,940.

TL;DR: An investigation of the biochemical changes following experimental liver injury felt the need of a simple, rapid, and accurate method for determining the protein fractions in small amounts of serum and began with Kingsley’s biuret procedure.

Spectral studies of drug interaction with hepatic microsomal cytochrome.

TL;DR: Two types of spectral changes are described as resulting from substrate interaction with a hepatic microsomal cytochrome; the magnitude of these spectral changes is dependent on protein concentration and substrate concentration as well as the substrate employed.

Effect of starvation on nadph-dependent enzymes in liver microsomes of male and female rats

TL;DR: Although liver microsomes from male rats metabolize most drugs more rapidly than do those from female rats, the magnitude of the sex difference varies markedly with the substrate and the effects of starvation of male rats range from impairment of sex-dependent enzymes which metabolize aminopyrine and hexobarbital to enhancement of thesex-independent enzyme that hydroxylates aniline.

Conversion of P-450 to P-420 by Neutral Salts and some other Reagents

TL;DR: The structure around the heme group of P-450 as well as the mechanism of its conversion to P-420 are discussed, and iodine was an effective conversion agent that caused considerable destruction of the hemoprotein.
