TLDR
It is suggested that block of the anterior division of the left bundle branch in the presence of right bundle branch block alters left ventricular activation in such a manner as to promote the development ofleft ventricular dyskinesis.

Journal ArticleDOI

Natural history of combined right bundle branch block and left anterior hemiblock (bilateral bundle branch block).

TL;DR: During a cumulative observation period of 262 patient years, complete heart block developed in only two patients, whereas second-degree A-V block of sufficiently high degree to necessitate permanent cardiac pacing developed in three patients, concluding that combined RBBB and LAH usually reflects advanced myocardial disease.

The Syndrome of Papillary Muscle Dysfunction

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported two patients with clinical manifestations of mitral valve insufficiency, in whom subsequent autopsy findings strongly suggested that papillary muscle dysfunction was the cause.

Bedside technics for the evaluation of ventricular function in man

TL;DR: Characteristic changes in the systolic intervals of the left ventricle have been demonstrated among patients with arteriosclerotic, hypertensive and primary myocardial disease and their use in the bedside evaluation of cardiac performance in man is suggested.
Journal ArticleDOI

The syndrome of papillary muscle dysfunction

TL;DR: The original description of the papillary muscle syndrome is extended to include a number of diseases which either clinically or at necropsy have been implicated in the production of papillary muscles dysfunction in the hope that attention will be focused on those diseases, in addition to circulatory insufficiency, which may result in papillary Muscle dysfunction.

Left ventricular ejection time index in man

TL;DR: The present studies were undertaken in an attempt to formulate an accurate expression of the relationship between the duration of left ventricular ejection and heart rate in man.
Journal ArticleDOI

The electrocardiographic diagnosis of bilateral bundle branch block in relation to heart block.

TL;DR: Several types of atypical right bundle branch block patterns described by the author earlier now appear to be caused by a combination of block of the entireright bundle branch and a part of the left branch.
