Influence of Heavy Axle Load on Dynamic Response of Semi-Rigid Base of Asphalt Pavement
TLDR
In this paper, the dynamic response law of semi-rigid base of asphalt pavement under heavy load traffic was studied and the viscoelastic system model was established based on measured loading pattern and axle load distribution with the finite element software ANSYS12.0.Abstract:
In order to study the dynamic response law of semi-rigid base of asphalt pavement under heavy load traffic, the viscoelastic system model under heavy load was established based on measured loading pattern and axle load distribution with the finite element software ANSYS12.0. Heavy load traffic effect on the dynamic response of semi-rigid base of asphalt pavement was discussed . The results show that semi-rigid asphalt pavement structure dynamic response value changed with the increase of axle load; time varying regularity of stress and strain was not the same in different directions.read more

Research on Distributing Regularity of Shear Yielding Area in Asphalt Pavement under Heavy Axle Load
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have taken the visco-elastic properties of the asphalt mixtures, the non-uniform tire contacting pressures under different axle loads and the frictional condition between the pavement layers into consideration, and computed the mechanical responses of four typical asphalt pavement structures by means of nonlinear finite element method, and the shear yielding domain distribution in the asphalt layers was found out by the secondary developed program based on the finite element software COSMOS/M on the assumption that asphalt mixture obeys the Moore-coulomb yielding rule to explain the
