Influence of inductive effect in some homologous organic liquids on the kerr constant values

TLDR
In this article, the authors reported the values of the electro optic Kerr constant of liquids belonging to carbonyl (Ketone and Aldehyde) and Nitrile series at λ = 632.8nm and observed a decreasing trend in Kerr constant values with an increasing chain length by a CH 2 intervening group.

Quantum Mechanical Polarizable Continuum Model Approach to the Kerr Effect of Pure Liquids

TL;DR: A quantum mechanical methodology, working within the framework of the polarizable continuum model (PCM), yielding quantities directly comparable with data extracted from Kerr experiments of liquids, is presented, obtaining the final molar property (specifically, the Kerr constant) in terms of effective molecular dipoles and (hyper)polarizabilities.

Temperature Dependence of Kerr Coefficient of Binary Liquid Mixtures of Aprotic-Aprotic Molecules

TL;DR: In this paper, the electro optical Kerr coefficients of binary liquid mixtures, comprising of aprotic-aprotic molecules only, are measured over the temperature range of 286 K to 315 K.
