Internal Pair Formation
TLDR
In this paper, the electron-positron angular correlation and total conversion coefficient were calculated for internal pair formation and for arbitrary multipole order of the electric and magnetic radiation fields.Abstract:
The electron-positron angular correlation and total conversion coefficient are calculated for internal pair formation and for arbitrary multipole order of the electric and magnetic radiation fields. The Born approximation is used and in the region of greatest experimental interest, Z≲40 and gamma-ray energy>2.5 Mev, the consequent error should be negligible. Numerical results are given for multipole fields of order 2l with l=1 through 5 inclusive.read more

Jonathan L. Feng,Bartosz Fornal,Iftah Galon,Susan Gardner,Susan Gardner,Jordan Smolinsky,Tim M. P. Tait,Philip Tanedo,Philip Tanedo +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, an effective operator analysis for excited $6.8 \ensuremath{\sigma} ) nuclear decays via internal pair creation is provided, which is fit well by a new particle interpretation.

Constraints on variant axion models
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the theoretical predictions for, and experimental bounds on, weak decay processes and nuclear de-excitations involving variant axions and found that the recent bound on the decay, π + →ae + ν e, in combination with a bound for a ΔT = 0 transition in 10 B effectively exclude these excitations.

Can nuclear physics explain the anomaly observed in the internal pair production in the Beryllium-8 nucleus?
Xilin Zhang,Gerald A. Miller +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors improved the nuclear physics modeling of the reaction by studying the pair emission anisotropy and the interferences between different multipoles in an effective field theory inspired framework, and examined their possible relevance to the anomaly.

Pair creation by internal conversion
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the general theory of internal electron-positron pair conversion and derive analytical formulae for the differential pair conversion coefficient using Coulomb wave functions for the electron.
