Separation of high field strength elements (Nb, Ta, Zr, Hf) and Lu from rock samples for MC‐ICPMS measurements

TL;DR: In this article, a single-column separation procedure for purification of Hf and Lu by ion exchange using Eichrom® Ln-Spec resin was presented, allowing measurements of Zr/Nb with a precision of better than ±5% (2σ).

235U–231Pa age dating of uranium materials for nuclear forensic investigations

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for the determination of the date of most recent chemical purification for uranium materials using the 235U-231Pa chronometer was presented, and the combined uncertainties of age dates using this method were 1.5 to 3.5 %, an improvement over alpha spectrometry measurement methods.

Adsorption of Elements from Hydrofluoric Acid by Anion Exchange

J. P. Faris
- 01 Apr 1960 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the elution characteristics of 50 elements in a hydrofluoric acid medium with a strongly basic anion exchange resin and obtained the distribution coefficients of 1 to 24M acid by spectrographic analysis of column effluent solutions.
