Preconditioners for regularized saddle point problems with an application for heterogeneous Darcy flow problems

TL;DR: Using proper regularized forms of the given matrix and its preconditioner, it is shown that the eigenvalues cluster about one or two points on the real axis for large values of the regularization parameters and that eigenvalue bounds do not depend on this variation.

Constructive solution of strongly coupled continuous hyperbolic mixed problems

TL;DR: In this paper, the construction of exact series solutions of mixed problems for strongly coupled hyperbolic partial differential systems using a matrix separation of variables method using algebraic methods is studied.

Flux-splitting schemes for improved monotonicity of discrete solutions of elliptic equations with highly anisotropic coefficients

TL;DR: In this paper, a family of flux-continuous, locally conservative, finite-volume schemes has been developed for solving the general tensor pressure equation of petroleum reservoir simulation on structured and unstructured grids.

Versatile Two-Level Schwarz Preconditioners for Multiphase Flow

TL;DR: This work studies a class of parallel preconditioners based on two-level Schwarz domain decomposition applied in a nonlinear two-phase flow numerical model based on an aggregation approach that has a straightforward implementation for a variety of applications arising in subsurface modeling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Block-triangular preconditioners for systems arising from edge-preserving image restoration

TL;DR: In this article, a modified block-SSOR preconditioned conjugate gradient method was proposed to solve the signal and image restoration problems with the half-quadratic regularization technique by making use of the Newton method.
